inaugural w6sfm POTA Event

W6SFM activated Parks On the Air – reference US-

3432, Folsom Lake State Recreation Area.

Club members Ron Lingren WB6DMX and Mike Kashuba K6LQ hosted this inaugural W6SFM POTA event.

Plenty of POTA QSO's were made on 20 Meters CW exclusively, (the most popular POTA Band) with a vertical dipole and a Icom IC-7300 – battery powered. 

Club member enjoyed grilled Brats (Oktoberfest style) with sauerkraut, mustard and chips.

There is a $10 fee for parking. (No parking charge for swimmers, paddle boarders, hikers or cyclists.) There are restrooms, and a paved and gravel parking area.
